Cohomology, k-invariants and Hopf algebras

I will recall the construction of the first k-invariant and present a generalization of that construction. Then discuss an explicit presentation of the simplicial group K(A,n) and its topological interpretation. Finally I will talk about how these ideas lead to the construction of a cyclic module associated to a commutative Hopf algebra.
